21 अक्टूबर 2024 से अक्टूबर माह की मासिक परीक्षा का शुरुआत होने जा रहा है बोर्ड अध्यक्ष आनंद की किशोर अपने साफ-साफ स्पष्ट कर दिया है की अक्टूबर माह की मासिक परीक्षा दो पालियों में आयोजित होने वाली है प्रथम पाली की मासिक परीक्षा 10:00am to 11:30am तक परीक्षा आयोजित होने वाली है और साथ ही द्वितीय पाली की मासिक परीक्षा 12:45pm से 02:15pm परीक्षा चलने वाला है, मासिक परीक्षा 90 मिनट की परीक्षा होने वाली है जिसमें सभी छात्र/छात्रा को शामिल होना अनिवार्य है |

1. Answer any five of the following questions:

a) What does Pearl S. Buck say about Indian peasants?

ANS- Mrs Buck gives an impressive picture of Indian village life. Here people live according to the great ideals of their tradition. Their conception of goodman is quite lofty. They think only those people good who practise self-renunciation rather than self-seeking.

b) What do free people take for granted?

ANS- Free people take it for granted that without a free press there can be no freedom.

c) How are the ways of managing child-birth in traditional societies useful?

ANS- The ways of managing child-birth in traditional societies useful because they make having a baby less frightening for the pregnant mothers. The traditional behaviors make the pregnant women forget their worries because they are helped by their husbands, their relatives and communities.

d) Why is Macavity called a criminal?

ANS- Macavity is termed as a criminal because it defies the law and indulges in activities of criminal nature.

e) In what sense does the fire forget its dead?

ANS- Sometimes, a few parts of the body are not burnt properly leaving them half-burnt. This is considered to be the immoral behavior of the fire and this is how the fire forgets its dead.

Answer any three of the following questions:

a) Write a short paragraph on Terrorism’ or ‘Health is Wealth’.

ANS- Terrorism is an act, which aims to create fear among ordinary people by illegal means. It is a threat to humanity. It includes person or group spreading violence, riots, burglaries, rapes, kidnappings, fighting, bombings, etc. Terrorism is an act of cowardice. Also, terrorism has nothing to do with religion. A terrorist is only a terrorist, not a Hindu or a Muslim.
Terrorism has become a global threat which needs to be controlled from the initial level. Terrorism cannot be controlled by the law enforcing agencies alone. The people in the world will also have to unite in order to face this growing threat of terrorism.

c) Write an application to the principal of your school requesting him/her to arrange extra classes for Mathematics

d) Write a report on your visit to the flood-hit areas.

ANS- On 15th July 2021, due to heavy rainfall, the Brahmaputra river flooded and, as a result, affected many areas. Almost 10 lakh people were affected due to the flooding of the Brahmaputra, and several houses in the village and agricultural lands went under water. The government released a statement saying 50 people in the low-lying areas had drowned due to the severe flooding around it. Various local authorities and NGOs worked together to provide clean drinking water, food and clothes to the affected people. The government announced monetary and medical assistance for the affected.
